Writing Technique and Creativity with Kim Echlin

Are you looking for the opportunity to develop an idea, work on new or existing material, or revise a manuscript? At the “Writing Technique and Creativity” Write Now Retreat, instructor Kim Echlin will offer instruction on character development, writing dialogue and description, and plot-mapping with a focus on the quest, and will also read the work of writers who bring manuscripts and consult with them individually.

For those who are writing for the first time, Kim will engage in valuable discussion and evaluation of their creative process, and provide writing prompts and guided writing sessions to help them get started. For experienced writers, Kim will take a more advanced and in-depth approach, guiding them through any roadblocks they may be facing in their writing at the time of the session. This retreat will feature valuable one-on-one time with Kim and each participant, and will be shaped around the particular needs of each writer. Each participant will also be offered a complimentary copy of a handbook for writers developed by Kim herself, which includes writing techniques and an introduction to rhetoric for the fiction writer.
