Join the vibrant literary arts community in Stratford, Ontario.
While it’s known as Canada’s home to the Bard, Stratford takes pride in more than playwrights and poets. Award-winning Canadian authors have called Stratford home, from Timothy Findley to Jane Urquaardt.
Each October, the literary community of Stratford invites all writers and readers to a weekend of literature to celebrate the art and craft of writing. We assemble award-winning Canadian authors, as well as emerging Canadian and local writers in this three-day festival. Our mission is to give fans and readers an opportunity to hear, appreciate, and interact with writers, and inspire a love of reading in all. We encourage every emerging author to “Share Your Story.”
Featuring actor readings, literary brunches, musical literary performances, interactive workshops, and inspiring talks, the Stratford Writers Festival is undoubtedly one of the most dramatic writers festivals in Canada. Mark October 20 to 22 on your literary calendars, and join us as we celebrate our shared passion for books, writing, and reading!
