By: Christine Szarmes, Editor
A big thank you to all writers that submitted to the Romancing the Story Contest; we received some excellent stories from very talented writers. It is your work that is the driving force for all that we do.
We are excited to announce that 20 submissions have been selected for publication in the Romancing the Story Anthology, as well as the top 3 winners to receive additional prizes:
Customized Publishing Package – $2,500 value
- Jaime Lee Mann – Forgive Me Father
Consultation and Coaching Session – $300 value
- Ashley Q. Davis – Two Cups
Book Cover Design – $50 value
- R.C. Matthews – A Winter’s Night Dream
Each story that will be published offers a distinctive voice, building the Anthology into a unique tapestry of hope, loss, sadness, and ultimately – love. The Anthology will feature stories from Mark Brandon Allen, Chris Carr, Iesha Carson, Dina Cressman, Hilary Dean, Alex Duncan, Amanda Jones, Sara May, Kathi M. Nidd, Taylor C. Smith, S. Stewart, Lura Wilcox, Adrienne Wright, and Shawna Yorke. We appreciate the hard work of all these authors, and are honoured to publish their short stories.
Stay tuned as we launch additional writing contests and release the Romancing the Story Anthology!
Testimonials
“I think the contest will help with my writing career, just because I would never have thought of putting together a collection of short stories prior to now, so you never know!” – Jaimie Lee Mann
“I really enjoyed being part of DigiWriting and Blue Moon Publishers’ Romancing the Story contest. It encouraged me to explore a new genre that I had always been too timid to try. The prizes are well selected and would have great benefits to any writer. It’s always so great to see an organization that’s so dedicated to helping writers advance their career.” – Sara May
“Being chosen for the Anthology has helped my self-confidence. I know I can finish something, and that I can write something that people will like. That helps so much.” – Lura Wilcox
“Any writing credentials provide value when moving forward. The Anthology will provide exposure for me as an author.” – Kathi M. Nidd
