Thank you to everyone who helped make the Stratford Writers Festival a huge success!
The Stratford Writers Festival is a success because of you – our audience – and the generous support of many local writers (Thank you, Alison!) and organizations. Thanks to all of you, the festival was so successful that attendees and authors are already excited to return on October 20-22, 2017.
Combined with its literary focus, the DigiWriting Stratford Writers Festival tapped into the Stratford artistic community to make the two-day event more than a traditional literary festival. Working with local musicians, restaurants, and cultural institutions, the Stratford Writers Festival confirmed that Stratford is one of Canada’s premiere arts towns.
Speaking about both the festival and the city of Stratford, author Michael Winter explained that “The thing about this festival is, writers want to come here because it’s a beautiful part of the country and audiences are great. I think it’s an excellent chance to come see your favourite author.”
Giller Prize nominated author Kim Echlin echoed Michael’s comments by adding that the “Stratford Writers Festival is a natural place to have readers and writers together.”
We could not have brought readers and writers together if it was not for our great partners and venues. We would like to thank the following partners and venues that helped make this literary festival a huge success:

Stratford Destination Animation Fund
Visit Stratford (Stratford Tourism Alliance)
